WW Confession Time

I skipped my WW meeting last Thursday.  I was all caught up in Moms Affiliate Expo and just felt like I needed a little downtime more than I needed to drive into Lansing for the meeting.  My sis was having a busy day too so she wasn’t sad to let it go.

The last thing I said to her was ‘Don’t worry – I’ll still be good!‘.

Ha!

Friday night...pizza nightI was doing fine – until we spent five hours in the ER with Sean’s sore eye which turned out to be a damaged cornea – no wonder he was in so much pain :(   On the way home I picked up McDonald’s for breakfast – which is terribly high in points.

Then we spent part of the weekend taking care of my nieces babies and daughter.  For some reason I could not keep out of the kitchen.  I had shopped for WW friendly foods and snacks to take with us so that I wouldn’t be tempted to cheat – but even though all my snacking was on ‘low fat’ foods, I way over did it.

To make matters worse – on Sunday afternoon we ordered pizza.  *sigh*

All in all – I’m probably a good 100 points over budget for the week.  Not good!

I have given myself a good pep talk.  I’ve reminded myself that there was a time when I would gleefully consume 100 points in one meal.  It wasn’t as bad as it could have been.  But it was bad enough.

I look back on the weekend and see clearly that I was stress eating.  I could have dealt with it all differently if I had just slowed down and picked up the phone for a quick chat with my sis.

No use crying over spilled milk.  I got back on the WW wagon on Monday morning and am doing fine.  Hopefully tomorrow’s weigh in doesn’t tattle on me too bad.  I’ll let you know ;)

Sounds to me like you’re doing really well overall girl! Even if the weigh in isn’t a “woo hoo” one – the next one will be.

How many points are M&Ms exactly?????? ;-)

Great attitude – you have to be real, life happens. Not beating yourself up over this is the RIGHT approach in my opinion. This way you’re likely to stick to your WW plan longer.

Hey, I always have a tendency to look at the glass as half full. For one thing, you learned something valuable about what makes you crave food, or at least had the lesson reinforced about stress eating. Two, you jumped right back on the bandwagon. Good for you! I didn’t feel like walking on the treadmill tonight, but you’ve just inspired me to do so.

I say good job getting right back on the WW wagon! Slipping up is normal, especially considering all you have been through surrounding the slip up. :)
