Using YouTube to Market Your Business: Moving in to Web 2.0

Many new business start-ups occur each year. And, just as many businesses fail. Once you start your business, the objective is to make it viable and see it grow. For that, you need an edge.

YouTube has become a premier Internet site for user content. It is a video sharing service that is used by teens and adults alike. User generated videos provide much needed information to the public on a wide range of topics.

What about your business? Could it use a boost? Start the video camera rolling. Use the service that YouTube provides to get your business going and keep it going in the right direction.

Make a video of a day in the life of your business venture. Show what you do and why it is a valuable service for others. Provide helpful information about how others can get started in a business like yours. Let people see the ins and outs of the business you want to promote.

Once people see and learn about you, they will want to know more. Do video interviews with employees of your business. Let them tell about their positions with the business and how they got involved with the venture. If you have some customers who are willing to give a video testimonial, film them as well.

Be sure to direct all viewers of your video journals on YouTube back to your website or blog. To further the good vibes, set up a community forum on your website. This will give users of your product or service and people who have seen your piece on YouTube a chance to communicate. Also, ask for direct feedback about your product. This will help you to fine tune any problems that consumers are having. The additional traffic to your site will translate into more business for you.

To keep people interested in you, do additional videos that offer business advice. Working additional angles will draw budding entrepreneurs. Adding a section to your website where people can get answers to burning questions. People will visit your blog and ask questions to pick your brain. As long as you are showing them something that they find useful, people will continue to come back time and time again.

If your business is in a slump, try getting exposure on YouTube. This video site allows you to showcase your business and hopefully create a following. But, you must do the work to get yourself out there. Keeping in touch with your consumers, the public will help to grow your business.
