Stress Free Easy Holiday Parties

Can you eliminate holiday stress and have a great dinner party? Yes!

Keep things as simple as possible.

If you organize ahead of time, things will run smoothly on party day. Make a checklist so you don’t forget those last minute details.

Guest List

Don’t get stuck thinking you have to invite everyone. It’s possible to invite everyone but you could plan to have more than one party. Plan them both exactly the same, saving time and effort.

Food

The time of the party determines what will be served. Later in the evening, lighter foods like finger sandwiches, fruits, veggies, or cheese and crackers might be in order. If it is closer to the dinner hour, you want more substantial menu.

Have a potluck dinner, where each guest brings a side dish and dessert. You can prepare the main dish and drinks and you can stay stress free.

Table Setting

Don’t worry about fine china. There are very nice disposables, especially around the holidays. You don’t worry about guests dropping anything! You might want to use real silverware, depending on what you are serving, as some foods are difficult to eat with plastic utensils.
