Cuisinart Food Processor – My old one finally bit the dust in the fall after 17 years of faithful service. I tried to get by without it but quickly grew tired of trying to make pie crusts with a pastry cutter and chopping vegetables by hand. It was also indispensable for a fast vegetable chop to add to soups. I did get a new one for Christmas and now I’m a happy mom again!
For our family of six, we’ve found the 11 cup model to be the best for us. It comes with two chopping blades, one for bread and dough and the other does typical chopping tasks. It also has a shredding blade which is wonderful for shredding veggies for your salad the way Sweet Tomatoes does…as well as for shredding potatoes for potato latkes! The third blade is a slicing blade which also great for fruits and veggies.
