Moms Get “Homeschooled” Too!

This post was written by Tracy Zdelar Hall of Fame Affiliates.

I have to say, I don’t know that I EVER thought of it in those terms, but…I’m being “homeschooled”! Now, I’mPaper Writing Fiend
not a homeschooling mom and my kids are just 4 and 2 years old – and I don’t plan on homeschooling them either.

I’ve wanted to be able to stay home with my kids ever since, well…at least my first pregnancy. I wasn’t sure how we’d pull it off but the Lord has provided a way. I tried a number of things to earn extra money from home…doing childcare for others, selling Pampered Chef (nausea during pregnancy put a damper on that one), selling at a local flea market to selling on Ebay. But this year has been my BIG homeschooling year.

This year I was introduced to the “virtues” of social marketing. And as a result, I was very blessed to come into contact with Moms Talk Radio, Alice Seba, Lynn Terry and others who have helped me find my niche…well, almost! I’m still working on that, but I can say that I decided to go forward with affiliate marketing (while still doing Ebay and childcare).

And it’s okay that my website/blog isn’t up to par yet because I’m working on it. I think I’ve come a long way considering my lack of formal modern technical training – not to mention my time constraints with having young children. But I believe that finding these quality ladies has helped me avoid many pitfalls that I could have fallen into otherwise.

So, Mama’s in school! No school loans to payback and not much if any budget to work with either- but with all the FREE and reasonably priced resources I’ve found along the way, I know I’m getting somewhere. I’m looking forward to possibly buying some coaching down the road and I know I have found the right people to trust.

So- three cheers to all the great ladies out there who have paved the way before us and make success actually attainable and affordable for us “wanna-be” stay at home moms! Thank you!
