Who Has Maternal Rights?
With the surprising death of Michael Jackson, the question arises as to what happens to his 3 children, Prince 12, Paris 11, & “Blanket” 7. While the maternity of Blanket, the youngest, is not publicly known, the older 2 are the biological children of Debbie Rowe.
It’s was widely thought that Debbie Rowe had given up her parental rights, but the judge in that custody case recently said she did not, in fact give up her rights, so she should be next in line for custody.
Unfortunately it is widely acknowledged that Ms. Rowe has had virtually no relationship with her 2 children.
Is Katherine Jackson The Answer?
The Jackson family have already stated that the matriarch, Katherine Jackson, should be the one to raise the children.
Mrs. Jackson is believed to be 79 years old & in failing health. She also stood by and allowed her husband Joe Jackson, to abuse her own children when they weren’t performing to his satisfaction. While she claims to have a close relationship with the children, her age would only set the children up for the loss of another “parent’ in the too near future.
I’m Hoping For Janet
As a total outsider, their aunt Janet Jackson or perhaps one of Michaels brothers, would seem to me to be the best choice to take the children & be able to provide them with the most stable home.
Unfortunately wherever the children end up I’m sure it will be a huge & difficult transition from the fairy tale world Michael seemed to inhabit with the kids.
