I love getting magazine subscriptions as a gifts. You know why? Because I think of magazines as a luxury item and I rarely treat myself to little luxuries. I know – a magazine subscription isn’t that expensive. After so many years of forced frugality, it’s hard to let go of the old ways.

I read and am instantly transported to relaxation zone. My sister used to give me her old People Magazines and I’d read them. Then I’d give them to the other moms at the ice skating rink and they’d pass them on to other moms.
