How to Save Your Sanity While Shopping!

If you’re like a lot of people, you aren’t looking forward to fighting the traffic or the crowds this year to find the “perfect” gift for those on your shopping list. And can you believe the holidays are here…at our back door, getting ready to knock as we speak?!

Save your sanity this year! It’s time to start shopping online. You may even find more money saving places to shop this year just because our economy is hurting. Everyone needs “your” business so the competition is going to be steep. Here are a few tips.

First, grab your cup of coffee and maybe a pastry and have a seat in front of your computer.

Second, grab your shopping list, or make it now…that way you know who you have to shop for and this will keep you organized. You can also write down what you are buying and the price beside each name on your list.

Third, start price shopping and carefully compare! Some places offer tons of products that you didn’t know about…so do a little searching on their websites. You can also compare these prices with your local Walmart or Target stores. That way you know if there’s a better chance to just run out and buy that item or just order it online.

Fourth, if you’re pinching pennies…do a search online for “coupon codes” for some of the higher priced items on your list. That way, you’re ready when you find someone who accepts them.

Fifth, shop! Spend as much or as little time as you want when you want to. Make sure you consider shipping and taxes, look for free shipping or discounts. Write down when you should be expecting your shipment next to the name on your list.
