Father’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re like me on most Father’s Days, you’re totally unprepared.
No worries! I’ve got you covered with some fun, freebies, and food for the #1 Dad in your life.
Metropolitan Mama has found some amazing gifts based on what type of dad you’re buying for. And guess what? She’s giving the gifts away if you comment on her posts by Monday, June 8, at midnight. Make sure you read her rules first. She’s one of my favorite mommy bloggers, too, as her posts are always interesting, helpful, and funny. So check her out…
But, if you don’t win (because I’m SO gonna win!), and you want some less expensive gifts ideas, check out 10 fun and frugal Father’s Day ideas. My favorites are the homemade calendar and the little messages of love from the kids. Loving Motherhood also has some easy and fun craft ideas for Father’s Day including a handprint t-shirt and kiddie coupons.
And if you’re buying for an eco-Dad, or you’re just an eco-Mom, here are 3 secrets for having an eco-friendly Father’s Day. Some ideas I love from this post are making a video of Dad, writing him a poem, or planting a tree. And if you want the quintessential Father’s Day gift, that is extra eco-friendly, buy a green coffee mug from Go Green Mug. They have free shipping for Father’s Day, so I’m going to get 2: one for myself and one for my hubby!
Father’s Day is not only about gifts, but about spending time with Dad. I love this list of Father’s Day activities because it categorizes activities based on type as well as age of the child.
Every woman knows that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and Mama Knows came up with a great idea for a “make-ahead” dinner for Dad. She has 6 delicious items on the menu, of which most can be made ahead of time because she knows how busy us moms are. The dinner ends up being a BBQ fit for the best Dad in the world. If you’re not a cook, or Dad prefers to eat out, you can take him to TGI Friday’s for a free entree. This list includes other freebies for Father’s Day including magazines and photo cards.
Have fun making Dad feel special!

I love the frugal Father’s Day gifts for dad. I would love to go clean out my husbands car but I don’t think he would appreciate it as much as me. But I am sure he would love cookies or just me making dinner (since he usually does).

Thanks, Danielle! I had a lot of fun putting these links together since I really had no idea what I was going to do for my hubby. I just found out that he has a water polo tournament that day! So…maybe we will celebrate Father’s Day a different day.
Erin, thank you so much for the kind words about my blog. You totally made my night!
