Music Monday is about posting a song that you like and your reasons for choosing it.

Paul Overstreet is one of my favorite artists.  This song reminds me to tell people how I feel about them because “What’s going without saying should be said”.

Who are you going to tell today?

I’m sad that my CBC with LaTara at Mom Unplugged is coming to an end, but I encourage you to read about how her businesses are growing and how she keeps her business goals in line with her everyday values.  I especially love her goal of helping people see the “wonders and beauty in all people”, because I also believe every person has something amazing to contribute to this world.

Her last question for me was a tough one:

If you could do anything in the world without having to worry, what would it be?

Yikes!  Answering that question made me worry.  LOL!

I had to really mull this one over, so I’m sorry it took me so long to respond.  Very interesting question and one that I think everyone should think about.  It’s almost like, if this was your last day on Earth, what would you do?  You would definitely live that day differently, wouldn’t you? Throw a welcome home party, every night! That is the task I chose as research for a  simple contest entry. There is a book out in the market place called “Your Man is Wonderful.” It is written by Dr. Noelle Nelson, for those of you are intrigued by this post and want to go out and buy yourself a copy.

When the stresses of life get overwhelming the best thing to do is draw away from the busyness and chaos, think about what’s good in your life and give thanks!

What am I grateful for today? A husband who works hard and daily lays down his life for his family. The progress I see in my kid’s academics in spite of the challenges. Food in our pantry. A roof over our heads. Life is good!

Open Talk Mom is a new social networking site for all kinds of moms started by Mary Lutz and Christie Garcia. They have both experienced significant struggles in their lives and their vision is to provide support to moms who are going through tough life issues. Some of the current topics include dealing with teenagers, weight loss helps, burnout and disabilities. The site also contains resources, articles and news.
