Can’t believe how fast the time is flying by. This challenge is almost over! I’ve got good news to report. I’ve lost 21 pounds so far
Yesterday at my nieces she told me that Willow (18 months) weighs 21 pounds – so I picked her up and marveled at how much 21 pounds really is. I’ve lost a whole Willow!
A full week of lo-carb is behind me. I’m still enjoying it – though I’m really looking forward to this Girls Weekend and some yummy treats
My favorite lo-carb snack is Planters Kettle Roasted Peanuts. They are unbelievably crunchy – and crunchy is hard to come by on a lo-carb diet so it is much appreciated.
My least favorite lo-carb snack is the really gross Adkins caramel chocolate chewy bar that I tried today. The first bite was deceptive – I thought I’d be loving the opportunity to enjoy something sweet. But no – it wasn’t sweet at all and the taste and texture was not pleasing.
On other fronts…
I finally sat down and worked out my personal budget. I’m so glad I did! With my income I should be regularly saving money and I haven’t done anything above my regular retirement fund deposit. I created a budget that should help me fund an emergency account in just a few months.
Why I Want to be a Better Me
I want to enjoy the rest of my life. I’m feeling so energetic and it’s been awhile since I felt any of my usual aches and pains. I am feeling really confident about the future and I like that!


21 pounds….wow, I’m so proud of you. I cannot believe it. Keep it up! It wasn’t as easy for me but knowing that you lost so much is motivating me to keep trying.
