Is it even possible that I’ve been at this for a whole month? It doesn’t feel like it at all. I’m feeling a rush of excitement to realize that I’ve come so far and haven’t had any major stumbles. A minor stumble maybe…
As you know, I’m on Weight Watchers and following the Flex Plan. I get so many points to eat per day and 35 flex points to spend on extras. I prefer to save the flex points up for one indulgent meal each week – usually on Friday or Saturday.
This past Friday was flex day so I had a scrumptious pasta meal with cheesy garlic bread, some chips and dip and even a little chocolate cake. Yummo! The next day I was going right back to the plan – only the plan didn’t go as planned.
Sean’s chest cold turned ugly and we had to make a blizzard run to Lansing so that he could visit the Ready Care and get on antibiotics. We grabbed lunch on the run – McDonalds – not the most WW friendly food on the planet.
Still – it was a pretty minor bump in the road for me. I stepped right back into line for my next meal and have been on the program since.
This is such a relief to me because in the past, I have treated those little ‘I can’t help it moments’ as an excuse to throw my hands up and give in to temptation for days. Not this time
If I can survive one bump, I can survive two!
Why do I want to Be a Better Me?
It feels good to be placing a higher priority of my self care than on feeding temporary cravings or self medicating emotional lows. I feel my strength developing and my endurance growing. I’m so pleased with my results so far and looking forward to seeing where I will be at when I reach the end of this 48 days.

Kelly.
My oh, my! What an inspiration. What a real. Life. Inspiration. You go girl. Keep up the good work, and thank you sooo much for sharing all of this and inspiring so many people! I hope that in all of your efforts to share, and inspire others, that it has come back to you full circle. If it hasn’t yet, then hold on tight, cause it will, girl. It will.
Take care,
Lisa

One Month already. You’re past the top of the hill and can now coast down. You’re doing a great job. It’s great to see you having so much fun with this.
Thanks for asking about my goals on my site, I appreciate it. I’ll update how my 48 day challenge is going on Thursday.
Kelly,
I’m so proud of you for sticking with your plan. There will be challenges as you go along and it sounds like you have been able to roll with those. Keep up the great work.

I’m so glad you have gotten so far.
Life sometimes throws in these glitches that get us off track. If we can just see it as a little bump (like you said) instead of an excuse to not keep advancing.
I’m so glad you kept going- you go girl!
Congratulations!
Blessings,
