Ok – I had a rough night last night. I napped late and stayed up late and I kept going back to the snack cupboard for ‘one more’ little goodie.
Night time snacking is always a concern for me. With Weight Watchers, I get so many points per day so I’m careful to save points for night time – but I went far beyond what I had saved for snacks.
I’m not letting it get to me – its over and done with and I won’t let it become a trend here.
The good news is that I only have low fat snacks in the house
Exercise has been going well. I’m up to 25 minutes at a time. I’ll admit I’m getting a tiny bit bored with always rebounding. Today I ordered some hand weights and a Walking Away the Pounds DVD. I’m looking forward to changing things up.
My energy level continues to remain high. I’m loving that! The scales haven’t said anything new in a few days but so long as I’m feeling this good – I can be patient.
Why do I want to Be a Better Me?
I want to feel ready for the future. Sometimes I look out over the next ten years and wonder if I’ll ever do the things I want to do. I don’t want to wonder – I want to KNOW!

Hi Kelly!
I have the same problem with eating at night. It’s like we work and do all responsibilities during the day and then we just need a break. We just need to rest. So our minds associate resting with eating.
I’m thinking that the way to combat that would be to find something that we really really like to do like to do and substitute. For example i love to write poems and songs, decorate things, scrapbook, etc.
Instead of eating I can just say to myself- “You’re not eating right now but you are doing something you thoroughly enjoy doing.”
So my thinking is that if we make the things we love to do the substitute for eating we will win. Another thing that has helped me is leaving raw carrots ready for night time so when i feel hungry i just have something to munch on that isn’t bad for me. This worked for me the first time I lost weight.
After I took out the tumors that I had my body seems to be taking longer to lose weight. I think my metabolism slowed down. That’s ok– I’m patient.
We can do it!
Blessings,
Eren

I don’t know what it is about night time feedings, but it’s a weakness in my entire household. I once tried to drink so much water that I will be too full to eat at night.
Don’t try it though, you’ll wake up several times to go to the bathroom

I’m with you on the night time snacking! That’s one of the worst times for me too. I’m glad to hear you are feeling so well and not getting hung up on the fact that the scale hasn’t changed in a few days. I think you will really like the Walk Away the Pounds DVD! It’s easy to do but still challenges you. I love my Walk Away the Pounds DVD – and in fact it’s time for me to pull it out and dust it off! You’ve motivated me Kelly! Keep up the great work I’m proud of you
