The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because
- It’s in the summer and I’m a hot weather lovin’ girl
- I can never get enough of Neil Diamond’s They Coming To America synchronized to fireworks, and
- I have very fond memories of 4th of July parties with family and friends
So, hopefully this link love post will help you and your family enjoy this patriotic holiday as much as I do.
Balancing Beauty and Bedlam has some wonderful and easy 4th of July decorating and craft ideas. I loved what she did with a kitchen organizer. Hopefully her ideas will spark some patriotic creativity in you.
Looking for free stuff this weekend? At Moms Need to Know, you can get a free 4th of July crafts and recipe eBook when you sign up for the Quick and Crafty newsletter. Also, Sweeties Sweeps shows you how to take advantage of the holiday weekend to enter sweepstakes.
When you think of the 4th of July, you think of fireworks, and Rik’s Blog has some excellent fireworks safety tips for kids. And please take a look at this link on animal safety during the 4th. Some animals become so distressed by fireworks they actually hurt themselves.
My favorite part about the 4th of July is the food. The Huffington Post gives us 6 reasons to eat local food this 4th of July. And if you haven’t planned your menu by now, Girls to Grow has a list of 13 patriotic desserts. Yum!
Please check out my Memorial Day Link Love post for more patriotic crafts, food, and fun.
I hope you have a very safe and fun 4th of July!
