48 Days to a Better Me: Rebounder Challenge!

rebounder-challengeYes! It’s time for another 48 Days to a Better Me Challenge and this time it’s all about the bounce!

In my last challenge, I lost 21 pounds and gained a huge appreciation for my rebounder. I had more energy and mental clarity than I could remember in recent years which was as much a benefit as the weight loss :)

I have to admit, in all the hustle and bustle of life and business, I haven’t been exercising nearly as much as I was before.

Today, I’m starting up again – with a goal of establishing a daily rebounding habit that sticks with me for the long term.

Day One: Five Minutes

We’re starting easy. Step up on your rebounder and start easy. Just bounce gently for five minutes. Do what feels good to you. Don’t push yourself, don’t make yourself uncomfortable. Just BOUNCE!

We’ll be adding two minutes every day until we get up to a half hour at a time – so trust me, it will get more challenging as time goes by.

Leave a comment and let me know that you’re with me today!!

Here’s a quick vid to get you excited :)

I bounced 30 minutes today. Not trying to be a show off, but I started before today – doctor’s orders. She told me old school thinking was that you needed 30 minutes of continuous cardio, but now the AMA has said that 2-15 minute periods is equally as good. I hope to use this challenge to get me to two-30 minute bouncing sessions. Right now I’m pooped by the time 15 minutes rolls around. But have to admit I do feel better :-)

I’m in! I’m starting a little late, but I’m going to totally do this! Just bought my rebounder today, so I have to set it up. Looking forward to it, though! :o )

Really wish I could join you ladies. I’ll definitely keep checking at my local Goodwill to see if a rebounder ever happens to end up there :-) I’m looking forward to following you ladies and hearing how you all do. Go girls go!

The two legged bounce (like jump roping) is hard on my knees, but I’m having fun jogging and dancing! I try not to talk on the telephone unless I’m on it. Same goes for watching TV. I have it right in my living room, which is funny because I have a workout room downstairs with more equipment but there’s no excuse when it’s right in my face!

  5. I too am a little late, but I’ll jump on the band wagon, so to speak and start when I get home from my meeding tonight.

    Looking forward to this.
