4th of July Link Love

washington monument FW 6The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because

  1. It’s in the summer and I’m a hot weather lovin’ girl
  2. I can never get enough of Neil Diamond’s They Coming To America synchronized to fireworks, and
  3. I have very fond memories of 4th of July parties with family and friends

So, hopefully this link love post will help you and your family enjoy this patriotic holiday as much as I do.

Balancing Beauty and Bedlam has some wonderful and easy 4th of July decorating and craft ideas. I loved what she did with a kitchen organizer. Hopefully her ideas will spark some patriotic creativity in you.

You can use it in a variety of ways. We use it to practice letters, numbers, and shapes. We also use it to help him practice his drawing skills. But, if the child is a bit older, you can use it to play tic-tac-toe, hangman, and other simple games. [Read more...]

Advanced Cat Yodeling

I can’t decide if these guys are genius or disturbed.  They really do make me laugh, though.  I  believe I can speak for their cats when I say they need a new hobby.

[E]LaTara from Mom Unplugged really put my mind at ease after reading her answers to my questions about finding balance. She had some great tips on time management and finding balance that I’m currently trying to implement in my life.

She also responded with a few tough questions for me:

In your transition from SAHM to WAHM, what has been your biggest struggle? What can you apply to your life to help you combat this struggle?

I’ve been struggling with time management as shown by my previous questions, as well as dealing with change (which has never been my strong suit), but my biggest struggle has been maintaining confidence in myself. [Read more...]
