The Household Helper Has Frugal Grocery Tips

Cara Mirabella was once interviewed on national television on saving money with coupons.  You might say that she knows her stuff when it comes to being frugal at the grocery store.

She has some quick tips for us:

1. Create a grocery budget
2. Create an inventory of what you have on hand
3. Clip coupons
4. Join your store’s customer shopping program
5. Carefully read the circular and the tags
6. When you can, buy the family size or in bulk
7. Buy generic
8. Plan your meals

Visit The Household Helper for an explanation of all eight frugal tips!

Operation Playtime

operation-playtimePlay Activities is holding a special online event to encourage and provide ideas to parents who want to spend more time with their small children.

Operation Playtime is 12 Days of Unplugged Play.

From their blog:

“Each day I’ll be sharing a play activity you can adapt and try with your little one.

These are the activities you’ve read about and perhaps like me too, haven’t got around to doing them or certainly not as much as you’d like. Let’s carve out the time and try them together. The activity isn’t as important as how the children and you do it together. We can let them steer and guide us for this activity- within safe limits of course.”

Check it out and boost your play time fun.
