How Do You Shop Black Friday?

I hear all the fuss about Black Friday deals all around me from my relatives, my friends, TV, the radio, and even read it on my beloved Twitter feed, but I am just not so sure it is something I actually want to do.  At least not the roll out of bed at 4 am and head to the stores in the freezing weather just to be trampled by a mob of unruly shoppers who are after that coveted gift at a low cost part.

It scares me actually. The scenario I just played out.  Therefore, so far it is one I have avoided with a passion.  But this year, is a bit different. No, I’m not going out on Black Friday to brave the crowds and cold, but I am shopping Black Friday deals.  Just in a much easier, more enjoyable way.  How you ask?  Online of course.  Many of the same stores which offer in stores deals also offer them online.  Some even offer special online specials you can’t get in the stores.  Many also include free shipping so that it costs you even less than the tank of gas it took to get you to the store.

So, how do you plan to shop Black Friday?

Turn Any Activity Into Family Time

Dinner tableWith our busy life styles, finding family time can be hard. Most homes these days are two income homes. Kids are booked with activities from school to church to sports. The older the children are, the harder it seems to schedule family time with everyone in one place.

Family time is an important bonding time. It helps parents stay in touch with what is going on in their kid’s lives. It helps the children bond with each other and their parents. It is a significant element in families that is often pushed off to another time.

What qualifies as family time is up to your family (and I have plenty of tips for you in my Finding More Family Time guide). Not every family can enjoy a trip to Disney or fancy resort. While these are great getaways for the family, they are not the only way to enjoy time with your family. Look for opportunities for everyday family times.
